Lucy Jade with her camera

Hello, I'm Lucy jade

Relaxed.Friendly.unubtrusive

I'm a freelance photographer based in Dorset while also covering Devon, Somerset, Hampshire and beyond. I enjoy keeping every photoshoot and wedding relaxed and full of laughs and smiles.

I have experience in Weddings, Elopements, Proposals, Pet Portraiture and Automotive. I gained a degree from the Arts University, Bournemouth in photography where my passion for 35mm and 120 medium format began.

If I'm not behind the camera working on something exciting, you'll find me either paddle boarding, on a hike with my dog or exploring some vast corner of the globe with my boyfriend, Lewis.

My approach

Brides bouquet, natural will flowers with coloured of dust pink and greens

I always intend to make you feel as comfortable as I can in front of the camera, my approach is candid/ documentary style and I enjoy capturing true, raw emotion from the day. I enjoy finding the small details in every wedding, engagement or elopement I attend. I always bring a 35mm film camera as well that I take portraits on for you to enjoy a few weeks after the big day.

Lucy photographed our elopement in Devon for us and we genuinely couldn't have asked for a better photographer. From the moment we met her, she was so warm and welcoming, instantly putting us at ease. She has such a natural, relaxed approach that made the whole experience feel effortless rather than staged or formal. Especially for someone like myself who hates having photos, She completed our edits and we had all our images back so fast, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Everyone has complimented how amazing our day looked and we have some gorgeous photo's to frame of our special day. Thanks so much Lucy!
